President's Message
Welcome to the Rotary Club of New Waterford. Our club has been serving the people of New Waterford and surrounding areas since 1938. We are known for our support for the youth in our area, particularly in the areas of education and special needs. We also support Rotary International and its work in the areas of health, hunger, water, education and world understanding and peace.
We need to focus on the two things that bring Rotarians around the world together every week, fellowship and service to others. Rotary’s motto “Service Above Self” defines our focus as a Rotary Club. We must continue to realize that if fellowship and service to others are worthwhile goals, then the extent to which they will be achieved depends on us, the members of the individual clubs.
I feel confident that I can depend on the members of this club to continue to promote the goals of Rotary as we complete our club’s seventy-second year of fellowship and service to our community, both local and worldwide.

Welcome to the Rotary Club of New Waterford for the 2011-2012 year. As we begin a new year, Rotary International President Kalyan Banerjee urges us to “Reach Within to Embrace Humanity”. He wants all Rotarians to focus on family, continuity and change. For the Rotary Year 2011-2012, we will focus on youth and families as we always have since we were chartered in 1938. We will also continue to do the things we do well and also embrace change. Ever mind full of the world beyond our community, we will also support Rotary International in their efforts to make our world a healthier and better place to live. We can do this by having our club participate in and support an International project this year. As in previous years, fellowship events will be held which will help to keep the “fun” in our club. I look forward to working with you over the next year.
